Plan N is Expensive- Globe Life G+ Will Save You Money
If you are currently enrolled in a Plan N Supplement Plan in New York, you might have noticed the annual premium increase continuing to rise every year.
We are proud to offer a Supplemental Plan that will save you money each year while still maintaining the great coverage you rely on.
G+ High Deductible Plan From Globe Life
The High Deductible G+ Plan, is a great option for anyone currently enrolled in a Supplement Plan N. The G+ Plan has the same exact coverage as the Plan N (same doctors, same coverage, same flexibility) but instead of a high monthly premium, like the Plan N, it has a very low monthly premium and a high deductible instead. Switching to G+ from Plan N will save you $2,496 in monthly premiums per year.
Cost Comparison
| Plan Name | Monthly Premiums | Annual Premiums |
|---|---|---|
| Plan N | $299 | $3,588 |
| G+ Globe Life | $91 | $1,092 |
Thats a $2,496 savings in premiums every year!
Key Differences- Deductibles, Premiums & Co-Pays
The main differences between these two plans are the deductible and the premium. The deductible for Plan N is the Part B deductible of $283. The deductible for G+ is much higher, $2,950, which includes the Part B deductible. With the G+ deductible, Medicare always pays 80% of the negotiated amount for covered services like doctor visits, labs and imaging and you are responsible for the remaining 20%, until those payments total $2,950. Once you hit the $2,950 deductible, all expenses are covered at 100%.
The premiums for the G+ however, are significantly lower. Monthly premiums for G+ are only $91 per month, which is $208 less per month than the Plan N monthly premiums. This is a huge savings of $2,496 per year on premiums alone.
Lastly, Plan N has co-pays. $20 everytime you go to the doctor, $50 for the ER. Those costs add up. With G+ all copays are eliminated.
Coverage Comparison
As mentioned, the coverage for both plans is exactly the same.
Because Medicare is still your primary insurance with both plans, you enjoy all of the same benefits.
- ✅ Both plans work anywhere Medicare is accepted
- ✅ Medicare remains primary- both follow Medicare billing
- ✅ No networks, full freedom nationwide
- ✅ Full flexibility to switch any time in NY- no underwriting, no health questions, no delays
The Bottom Line
If you visit the doctor frequently, you may be spending hundreds of dollars each year in copays. With the G+ Plan, your total annual costs are capped at $4,042 (your deductible plus premiums).
If you rarely visit the doctor, your annual cost could be as low as $1,375 (premium + part b deductible). By contrast, with Plan N, you are guaranteed to spend $3,871 per year, even if you don’t visit the doctor once.
